Educational Workshops
PRAXIS develops and facilitates workshops on evaluation, community-based research, neighborhood and community organizing, specific research methods (e.g., interviewing, conducting focus groups and photovoice), facilitating effective meetings, and other topics relevant to the changing educational and training needs of nonprofit boards, coalitions, steering committees, and organizations.
PRAXIS workshops are:
- Interactive, participatory and engaging
- Based on adult learning principles that support the immediate application of knowledge
- Developed to meet the unique training needs of organizations and community groups
- Accompanied by workbooks and resources that support learning and application beyond the workshop
- Geared toward the development of social learning networks
