PRAXIS - Building Knowledge for Action - facilitates exciting and transformative learning processes to sustain vibrant organizations and communities. We achieve this mission using the following tools: program evaluation, community-based researchstrategic planning, organizational assessmenteducational workshops, and other specialized services.

PRAXIS acts on the truest meaning of education -- to nourish and bring up. PRAXIS has drawn out my strengths as an educator, organizer, and social justice advocate and provided me with the support and tools to organize my community in Fremont County, Wyoming in our ongoing community food work.

PRAXIS provides Specialized Services tailored to meet the unique needs of community groups and organizations.

 

PRAXIS worked on the following projects:

  • Grant writing for the Missoula Community Food Co-op
  • Research for a worker model food cooperative: Visited site, Collected and analyzed data, Presented findings to support the development needs of newly forming food cooperative

  • Consultation on a community food assessment:Facilitated steering committee meetings, Developed research questions and methodology, and Reviewed and edited report

  • Meeting Planning and Facilitation: Conducted town hall meetings to envision a sustainable local food system: Discussed and identified resources, Recruited participants for action planning
